released July 2, 2014
"World End Trophies” was recorded by Brian Grochowski at The Bubble Bowl. We thank Brian for going out of his way to record our song for us on such short notice. We would also like to thank both Peter Stroczkowski and Abby Carrier for efforts that are too numerous to name, Tyler Bisson for continuing to come through for us on releases, Morgan and Kathy Norris for holding down the Bowl, and our dearest friends in Townhouses for doing this split and tour.
Spring Break forever.
The rings around my eyes are fetters
My sight has become prisoner
To a future I don’t want
To the minutes that feel
like they’re months
I would tell you I’m broken
But its redundant
I’m sure you’ve noticed
How I scream that I’m incomplete without trying to be a better me
I’ve stared at stars buried in snow
And merely wished for
Than solace to these late night drives
I was lost until you arrived
You saw my scars but didn’t care
And thought I deserved to be here
We braced for the approaching year
Now I’m not cold anymore
like I was before
And still it makes me shiver
But there’s still doubt in my heart
Affections hinder and tear me apart
But I’ll learn to be strong
Keep you safe from
the person that I was
I’ll set my sights ahead and look forward to a future built on love
And you washed away the fear in me, the fear of living
I thought I was lost
but I was just missing.
With love on the line I will try to free all of my sights and find strength to take hold of what is
precious in my life
And this world isn’t ending, it’s just not what we need, I thought I was lost but I was just missing.
I know I’m not lost.
